"Interesting experience in Li's Hostel"

I have a very interesting experience at Li's hostel. I have reservation and confirmation from hostel management. In order to secure my reservation, i called up my friend in Hong Kong to reconfirm my booking on March 28, 2008 at 10:30AM. My flight is 10:30PM March 28, 2008. The reply from my friend is confirmed in proper order. However, when I reached the hostel, the person in charge at the reception counter told me that the reservation is not available because the beds are broken and they can't accomodate me anymore.
My friend afterwards told me this is the usual crooked strategy by the hostel when it has got better profit from other inquiry. He reminded me that only one reception center which entertain 3-4 hostel names in the internet booking. The strategy is posting cheap affordable price with different hostel names but same address to attract bookings. One thing is that they can get your non-refundable charge of your deposit thru online booking. When you arrived, you will be advised that no bed available or make excuses that you are late. Then they will advise you to go to other hostel with higher price.(You have no choice but comply because it is midnight already in my case.) can you imagine how cold-blooded it is!!! It is good that i have friends in Hong Kong or else I and my family will be stranded at side street.
Beware and avoid of getting yourself victimized in such dilemma. It is really horrible. You can try it yourself if you want to.

Our flight from manila was delayed for 1 hour and had reached hotel at 10.Hotel was expecting us to arrive 8pmwere so disgusted when we we were advised that they do have our reservation had gave the rooms to other guest. I dont think its fair.thats the reason why reservation payments are being made tohave it guaranteedthe owner offered us to sleep in the hallway for 2 HKD.
We left the hotel and tried to look for other options on a midnight.

I dont recommend Mirador Mansion where Lis Hotel is located.Cleanliness and safety should be taken into consideration.I wont settle for less the next time wherein my safety is at stake.Itwas such a bad hotel experience.

The most unkind people I've ever came across, they shouted at us, talked to us in the worst possible way, and kicked us out claiming they needed the room after they told us we can stay another night. They also lied about the price and charged us almost double than what the site said. And on top of all that, it's the shittiest rooms in Hong Kong. Just don't go there, do yourselves a favour. Go to payless hostel on the 7th floor, it's 100 times better!
